The robot originates from KUKA's QUANTEC series, ditto the robot control system. The KUKA
KR C4 control system stands out with its global compatibility: It functions reliably with different
mains voltages and network configurations and can cope with extremely hot, cold or humid
conditions. It understands 25 languages, including the most important Asian ones, and meets
all globally relevant ISO norms and US standards.

Böllhoff has supplied the technology for the RIVSET self-pierce riveting, which can be seamlessly
integrated in the existing production environment. Thanks to features such as the modular struc-
ture, this technology is predestined for applications in mass production, ensuring enormous
flexibility in terms of production planning. The lengthy service life in conjunction with maximal
availability and minimal maintenance are key factors for success.

The KUKA smartPad ensures simple and intuitive operation, even for inexperienced users. In
this case the smartPad also supports the process control for the entire system. The application
components have been provided by Böllhoff.

added value. Always adaptable, the ready2_rivet can be modified according to changing require-
ments – in line with Industry 4.0.
