Innovation and developments

In 1994 this approach led to Böllhoff bundling all services along the customer's supply chain
                         ®
in the ECOSIT delivery system. Twenty-five years later these kanban systems – enhanced
with modern RFID technology – have become an industrial standard.

The advancing digitalisation of all goods flows is currently creating new requirements for both
suppliers and delivery systems. The retrieval of order and delivery information on demand,
already established by suppliers such as Amazon in the consumer sector, is now increasingly
               conquering the business-to-business market.

Böllhoff is catering for this trend with introduction of the ECOPORTAL. This online service portal
extends our ECOSIT delivery system to include a digital point of service.
                              ®
Access is possible either directly at the RFID Box or PC-based via the browser. One special
feature of the portal is its multidimensional approach. Everyone involved in the delivery process,
from the customer to the logistics service provider, is given individual access to the information
relevant to them. This means that they all have identical data at any given time – no need for
               time-consuming coordination here.

ALL DATA AT THE TOUCH OF A BUTTON

                                                                      ®
In the ECOPORTAL our customers have access to all data for their ECOSIT delivery system –
in a clear and concise form. A large volume of information is available at the touch of a button:
from the status of ongoing orders to the delivery history of all items stored in the system. The
portal also supports the trend towards the paperless office by providing invoices and documents
               in an online archive.

The ECOPORTAL allows logistics service providers to view outstanding shipping orders. Each
job is also provided with detailed information, for example an overview of unloading sites at
the customer's works or delivery instructions. Should uncertainties come about in the delivery
process, Böllhoff's staff can offer assistance in quickly finding a solution at any time. For this pur-
                                                                            ®
pose, they are given access to reports and current configuration data of the ECOSIT systems.
