LOGISTICS CENTRE IN WUXI (CHINA)

Böllhoff's branch in Wuxi has seen dynamic growth in the last few years. The available capacities
have been continuously extended, especially in the product groups of Plastics Engineering and
Riveting Technology. As further expansion within the existing buildings was no longer possible,
we have invested in a new logistics centre. Opened in the first quarter of 2019, it offers a usable
floor space of some 9,400 m².

PRODUCTION IN BIELEFELD (GERMANY)

Despite numerous extensions over the past four years, production capacity at the main site
in Bielefeld had reached its limits. For this reason, the product group Thread Technology
®
(HELICOIL and AMTEC brands) have relocated to fully refurbished production halls in

Duisburger Straße – just a stone's throw away from our main site at Archimedesstraße. Prior
to refurbishment the 9,500 m² halls in Duisburger Straße had not been used by our own
company for some 20 years.

Relocation of Thread Technology then freed up
a considerable amount of space at the site in
Archimedesstraße. We have now used this to
extend the production capacity of Plastics Engi-
®
®
®
neering (PLASTEC , SNAPLOC and FLEXITOL
brands).

In the course of the extensions Böllhoff seized the
opportunity to optimise the production layout in
terms of material flows and digitalisation pro-
cesses for Industry 4.0.
