In 2009 Böllhoff became one of the first companies to replace barcode labels with RFID
technology in C-parts management.
Since then a great deal has happened. This type of technology has seen growing demand
on the market, and is increasingly becoming a new industry standard.
®
A Böllhoff ECOSIT (ECOnomic Supply In Time) system with RFID technology is both fast and
reliable. All relevant data is stored on the RFID labels affixed to the containers. Once a container
is empty, the RFID label is automatically read as soon as it is within a reading
field or is dropped into an RFID box. Böllhoff’s ERP system can then place
an order automatically within just seconds. As a result, no manual ordering
is required. Delivery is thus considerably faster and more flexible than with
barcode labels.
