As the car-making sector recovered, growth at Böllhoff rose eightfold between 2009 to 2018,
reaching an annual turnover of some 37 million euros in 2018. This dynamic increase in the USA
is mainly due to the gratifying development of our proprietary products, including RIVNUT ,

CANADA – Development of the automation business
Our Canadian branch was founded in Pickering, Ontario in 2004. Our declared objective was
to carve out a niche for Böllhoff as a supplier of fasteners in the Canadian market. We had in par-
ticular set our sights on the automotive, manufacturing and aerospace industries as customers.
The major development potential offered by Canada swiftly became apparent, for example
®
regarding the launch of automated setting equipment for RIVKLE blind rivet nuts. Working in
close cooperation with partner companies, Böllhoff Canada established itself throughout North
America as a leading supplier of automated assembly systems between 2010 and 2016.
In order to bundle our competencies in the product area of RIVKLE blind rivet nuts at a single
®
site in North America, we then relocated our automation business to the USA, namely to Detroit.
Today Böllhoff's focus in Canada lies on the sale of our extensive portfolio of fasteners in the
domestic market, generating sales there of 4 million euros in 2018.
