The Böllhoff staff




























               “Successful Leadership at Böllhoff” is the name of an internal training module designed to
               familiarise executive staff with such management instruments. This training concept is going
               round the world to ensure all line managers in the Böllhoff Group develop a common understand-
               ing in relation to their management role. They should be able to uphold and put into practice the
               question of management according to Böllhoff’s guiding principles – and at a global level.


               Another ongoing project is the international roll-out of the HR software already introduced in
               Germany to support global personnel issues and processes to even better effect, including in
               technical terms.


               Such strategic decisions and others regarding the direction of international personnel manage-
               ment within the organisation are taken at the HR Steering Group Meeting. It is here that the key
               HR decision-makers from Europe and overseas come together once a year to discuss a wide
               range of personnel issues and to reach consensus on how to proceed.


               The increasingly international dimension to Human Resources brings another topic with it:
               Expatriate Management. Böllhoff repeatedly sends staff on secondment to sites abroad on
               lengthy assignments – generally lasting between one and five years. At present several of
               Böllhoff’s German employees are working in the USA, China and Austria.

               The internationalisation of the Böllhoff Group not only presents the specialist departments with
               new tasks, but also Human Resources. To ensure that the Böllhoff Group can continue its interna-
               tional success story, the HR department has been taking new directions, with the world of Böllhoff
               now drawing closer together. Human Resources Management at Böllhoff is perfectly prepared to
               cope with such new challenges.
